TEHRAN -- Director General of the Treatment, Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Department of the national Drug Control Headquarters (DCHQ) has said that 600 thousand addicts will receive an opium liquid from the beginning of the winter.

In a meeting with the health minister, the ways to treating the addicts with the opium liquid were examined and it was decided that the large scale distribution of the liquid will begin from December 21, Saeed Sefatian told the ISNA news agency on Saturday.
He noted that the opium liquid will be dispensed in the addiction treatment centers and the addicts can “only” receive the necessary dosage through the prescription of the centers’ doctors
